First ride in Roxy’s saddle with Jac; Coincidence or God-incidence

I really considered NOT sharing this. It is so strange that it seems fake, like a set up or something but it wasn’t. I decided that it is silly to skip telling the truth just because it so strange that people may not believe. You decide.

Yesterday I decided to haul Jac to ride at a neighbors place. I am taking Jac to the All American Quarter Horse Congress next week for a big debut and didn’t want the Congress to be his first trip away. I got there and chatted awhile. The arena owner asked me if I wanted the radio shut off, or the station changed or anything and I said no.

I decided that because of the Congress I was also going to change saddles. I wanted to ride him in something a little 2006 Tulsa saddlemore ‘fitting’. As I saddled him up I thought about how poignant the moment was, Jac wearing the saddle that his mom had won.

Jesse walked in, made no comment as I swung my leg over Jacs back. And then it happened.

Jesse said, “Do you hear that?”

Goosebumps were already racing up my arms. The hair on my neck standing up. ‘Yes.’

“No one’s going to believe this.” He said.

“Take a picture and I will do a blog,” I said.

“Picture? No, video-let them hear it.” Jesse said.

“OK, but video the saddle fender first, and quick.”

Watch the video-make sure your volume is turned up:

If you read any of Doreen Virtue’s work, “Healing With the Angels” would be a good one… she says that one of the ways angels are able to communicate with you are songs on the radio. :).
Absolutely beautiful…. and no coincidence. Thank you for sharing.

This made me get goose bumps. And tear up. I used to watch as many videos of you and Roxy and tell myself someday i was going to try my hardest to be as good a rider as you. You are one of the biggest inspirations to me. You don’t make going and competing about winning, its about the connection and showing off all that hard work. Thank you for sharing this…. 🙂 Keep your head up!!!

Stacy I burst into tears. What a moment! How did you feel? Gosh I think I am turning into an emotional old woman. (58). I love reading your blog. Watching your videos and following you around on FB. I think you are fantastic!

    • Stacy on October 6, 2013 at 2:59 pm

I was so glad Jesse was there because I was shocked and a bit speachless. You wouldn’t have the video or the blog because I would have been afraid everyone would think I was just crazy (I might be a little of that too but thats another blog subject). I had already been feeling emotional because I chose to take the saddle that day….but never did I dream….

      • Susan Moser on October 6, 2013 at 6:12 pm

That is so GOD! He amazes me every day! Thank you for sharing!
I listen to k-love radio and folks will share their stories of GOD’s faithfulness. He is in the whispers of life.

I couldn’t believe it…. and what a profound confirmation of what you are supposed to be doing! I believe in God sent miracles and signs/signals that guide us …. I’m glad it was audio in the video we were trying to identify, because the tears are still flowing! Thank you for sharing such a special and simply magical moment, I can’t wait to see each new day of training with Jac! You are a such an awesome trainer and phenomenal person, thank you for the inspiration you give.

    • Jessica Lynn on October 6, 2013 at 12:06 pm

oh my God I had goose flesh/bumps all over — that was God-sent and Roxy sent too!

      • Brenda Tyrrell Weisenberger on October 6, 2013 at 6:19 pm

Check the video itself and make sure the sound is turned up on that. I did the same thing, but realized the sound on the video clip was on mute.

    • Karla on October 6, 2013 at 12:12 pm

I am sitting here sobbing… Roxy lives on through Jac! Thank you so much for sharing.

    • Karla on October 6, 2013 at 12:15 pm

It is the Tim McGraw song she rode Roxy to in the 2006 Freestyle Reining Class at the AAQHC. Not coincindence – Roxy wants you to live like you were dying – Let Jac be her shining star!

      • Kassie Faye Tabor Cumbee on October 6, 2013 at 7:46 pm

THanks my volume wasn’t loud enough either but I figured that was what it was <3 How wonderful!

    • Janette Yosten Hess on October 6, 2013 at 12:57 pm

The song playing on the radio. That is the song that Stacy used when she and Roxy won the saddle that she was riding in in this new video of her and Jac.

    • Bobbie Jo Dawson on October 6, 2013 at 12:59 pm

I am having the same issue..both volumes all the way up and its silent

      • Stacy on October 6, 2013 at 2:51 pm

It was “Live Like You Were Dyin”, just on the radio, that is why the audio is so low….

    • kimberley Martin on October 6, 2013 at 1:04 pm

Listen to the song…and if you have never watched the video of Stacy riding Roxy to this song then watch it. It’s beautiful riding…

The radio is playing the song “Live Like You Were Dying.” You have to turn the volume WAY up to hear it, but it’s there.

    • Shelly on October 6, 2013 at 1:41 pm

The song in the back round “live like you were dying” It was the song that she rode Roxy to when she won her freestyle ride in 2006
