I really considered NOT sharing this. It is so strange that it seems fake, like a set up or something but it wasn’t. I decided that it is silly to skip telling the truth just because it so strange that people may not believe. You decide.
Yesterday I decided to haul Jac to ride at a neighbors place. I am taking Jac to the All American Quarter Horse Congress next week for a big debut and didn’t want the Congress to be his first trip away. I got there and chatted awhile. The arena owner asked me if I wanted the radio shut off, or the station changed or anything and I said no.
I decided that because of the Congress I was also going to change saddles. I wanted to ride him in something a little more ‘fitting’. As I saddled him up I thought about how poignant the moment was, Jac wearing the saddle that his mom had won.
Jesse walked in, made no comment as I swung my leg over Jacs back. And then it happened.
Jesse said, “Do you hear that?”
Goosebumps were already racing up my arms. The hair on my neck standing up. ‘Yes.’
“No one’s going to believe this.” He said.
“Take a picture and I will do a blog,” I said.
“Picture? No, video-let them hear it.” Jesse said.
“OK, but video the saddle fender first, and quick.”
Watch the video-make sure your volume is turned up:

No one taught you the skills you need to work through these things.
Riders often encounter self-doubt, fear, anxiety, frustration, and other challenging emotions at the barn. The emotions coursing through your body can add clarity, or can make your cues indistinguishable for your horse.

It’s meant to be…
Wow, God is good and He is with you. The song that Jac’s Momma and you won the Freestyle Reining Championship…………may this bring you peace!
Live Like You Are Dying… it’s Roxy’s Congress Freestyle song 🙂 definitely God-incidence!
Goosebumps. It’s what I call a “God Wink.” Jac is gorgeous!
If you read any of Doreen Virtue’s work, “Healing With the Angels” would be a good one… she says that one of the ways angels are able to communicate with you are songs on the radio. :).
Absolutely beautiful…. and no coincidence. Thank you for sharing.
Wow! I can’t believe that song was playing.
Someone is telling you something 🙂
wow!! you’ve been sent a message!!
OMG! I was thinking ‘it wouldn’t be on the radio’ and there it was. I’m so glad you wrote about this. It is fantastic!

Stacy- How beautiful and yes, I believe it was a God-incidence! Thank you for sharing this with special moment with you, Jesse, Jac and most of all, our beloved Roxie who left too soon! We love you all!
This made me get goose bumps. And tear up. I used to watch as many videos of you and Roxy and tell myself someday i was going to try my hardest to be as good a rider as you. You are one of the biggest inspirations to me. You don’t make going and competing about winning, its about the connection and showing off all that hard work. Thank you for sharing this…. 🙂 Keep your head up!!!
Chills and tears. Someone is speaking to you.
Oh my GOSH!!!!! Chills deluxe….that’s awesome!
Eerie. Gave me goosebumps. xx
Goosebumps for sure. Good luck in Congress.
Stacy I burst into tears. What a moment! How did you feel? Gosh I think I am turning into an emotional old woman. (58). I love reading your blog. Watching your videos and following you around on FB. I think you are fantastic!
I was so glad Jesse was there because I was shocked and a bit speachless. You wouldn’t have the video or the blog because I would have been afraid everyone would think I was just crazy (I might be a little of that too but thats another blog subject). I had already been feeling emotional because I chose to take the saddle that day….but never did I dream….
That is so GOD! He amazes me every day! Thank you for sharing!
I listen to k-love radio and folks will share their stories of GOD’s faithfulness. He is in the whispers of life.
That is so GOD! He amazes me everyday with his faithfulness. Thank you so much for sharing!
I listen to k-love radio and folks share their stories of GOD’s faithfulness. He is in the whispers of life. That Rocks!
I couldn’t believe it…. and what a profound confirmation of what you are supposed to be doing! I believe in God sent miracles and signs/signals that guide us …. I’m glad it was audio in the video we were trying to identify, because the tears are still flowing! Thank you for sharing such a special and simply magical moment, I can’t wait to see each new day of training with Jac! You are a such an awesome trainer and phenomenal person, thank you for the inspiration you give.
This is absolutely incredible. Goosebumps.
Wow, I got goose bumps also!
Now that is a wonderful coincidence, made the hair on the back of my neck stand up!
Much love and respect to you Stacy. You are a hero to me 🙂
Stacy, I had my sound all the way up, I did not hear anything, what are we supposed to hear? thanks
oh my God I had goose flesh/bumps all over — that was God-sent and Roxy sent too!
Check the video itself and make sure the sound is turned up on that. I did the same thing, but realized the sound on the video clip was on mute.
I am sitting here sobbing… Roxy lives on through Jac! Thank you so much for sharing.
It is the Tim McGraw song she rode Roxy to in the 2006 Freestyle Reining Class at the AAQHC. Not coincindence – Roxy wants you to live like you were dying – Let Jac be her shining star!
THanks my volume wasn’t loud enough either but I figured that was what it was <3 How wonderful!
The song playing on the radio. That is the song that Stacy used when she and Roxy won the saddle that she was riding in in this new video of her and Jac.
I am having the same issue..both volumes all the way up and its silent
It was “Live Like You Were Dyin”, just on the radio, that is why the audio is so low….
Listen to the song…and if you have never watched the video of Stacy riding Roxy to this song then watch it. It’s beautiful riding…
Its the song, that she and Roxy rode bridleless and saddleless to when they Won,,
It was her and Roxy’s song! awww, that totally gave me goosebumps!
Brought tears to my eyes again!
I heard it.
The radio is playing the song “Live Like You Were Dying.” You have to turn the volume WAY up to hear it, but it’s there.
The song in the back round “live like you were dying” It was the song that she rode Roxy to when she won her freestyle ride in 2006
It was “Live Like You Were Dyin”, maybe some of the tips others posted will help. It is pretty quite because it was just playing on the barn radio.
Only a certain number of times do we have moments like that in life. Thanks for sharing with us. We love you and the horse you rode in on.
Patricia, Live like you are dying came on right as she swung up….Go Roxy.
The song. It’s the same song that played when Stacy and Roxy won that saddle in 2006!
the song in the background was playing “Live like you were dying”
I am “replying” to myself…YES, I heard the song in the background, there was an issue with You Tube and it’s fixed, the song was meant to be playing in the background, for you and all of us that loved Roxy.
The song came on that she rode Roxy in the Freestyle reining that won the saddle she rode Jac in for the first time.
Patricia A Woodruff, Listen to the music in the background, And think back to Roxy. Instintly brought tears to my Eyes. That is more than just a coincidence, That is a message from above. Love It.
love this so!! they always find a way to get through 🙂
WOW! Just saw this…tears are Streaming. God is good. There is a message there, thanks for sharing.!
Oh Stacey that is so precious! Roxy’s message from above…. I get them from my son that passed 5 years ago. His song was All Summer Long by Kidd Rock. Wishing you much success and I so enjoy taking the ride with you….
