Feeling nervous or having doubts at horse shows. Episode 5-The Trail to the World Show

The rider’s mind has a huge impact on training and showing a horse. I teach what I have learned from over twenty years of training and showing horses…and one of those things is the constant need to evaluate what you are thinking.

In this episode, I take you behind the scenes at a dressage show. I hope that by watching me coach myself you will gain insights into some of the things that could go through your mind when trying something new.

Nervous, tempted to do more, talking myself into doing less, wondering how much to ride, wondering how much to ask Willow for are all things that come up in this video.

Special thanks to Jennifer Roth for coaching me! You can find her at http://www.milestoneperformancehorses.com or on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/jenniferrrothdressage/

I took my mare to a local horse show yesterday I was anxious & in turn so was my horse. She never lost it completely I was able to redirect her, but several times she was on the edge. I’m not a new rider but a Type A person & have always gotten anxious showing. I’m looking for ideas to get past this.
    Thank you,
