Hi Stacy! How did he know that you were asking him to trot?
Great job. He didn’t seem anxious or confused.
How did u know he was thinking of bucking?

I did ground driving with him so he knew that clucking meant trot. He also knows that tapping on with the whip means ‘faster’ so if he is walking, the next gait is trot.
When I got on I used the dressage whip the same way I did from the ground to get him to trot around me.

I could tell he was thinking of bucking because he was trying to pull his head down…and he was rounding his back up.
