Horses, campfires and food…now that’s a great way to start the day!
My kids have gone to summer camp at Miracle Mountain Ranch for the last three years and have returned raving about the ‘BTR’ also known as the ‘breakfast trail ride’. Jesse and I had attended a marriage retreat years ago but it was during the winter and didn’t include a ‘BTR’.
The ranch invited us to stop by so we moved in a few weeks ago (be careful when inviting homeless friends over). We have enjoyed all of our time here in Corry, Pennsylvania. We spent time with full time staff that we have known for years and also had the privilege of getting to know many of the students and even some of the campers…
…and I was able to attend my first ‘BTR’.

Stacy I loved the story of Mircle Mountain, and wow it is so close to where I grew up. I’m going to see if I can get some friends to go visit … if they allow adults.

First, I have to say I love following your blog and your philosophy! For a while now, I have been looking for a video online of your Road to the Horse performance in 2006 with Popcorn. I haven’t been able to find any clips of the event. I’m I just bad at Googling? Or is there a reason it isn’t posted anywhere?

Maria- My guess is that you won’t find clips because the event owns the rights to it, are there clips of other years out there? The event would be the one to contact, they have a great website, Road to the Horse, and they should be able to tell you.
I had the right to sell the DVD’s for a while after but then they moved into selling them in a boxed set. They don’t come up for sale very often online either…people have told me that anyway.
Stacy, My daughter and I were bless to be able to volunteer to lead at Miracle Mountain Ranch for two weeks back in 2009 what a great place. Kids grow at that place not just have fun. They learn life skills. Thank you for high lighting it on your stop. Teresa
Stacy… you are almost to the 6month date of being a “Nomad”….. was it FUN???? and can you tell us where your next stop is gonna be?? …. oh and that “BTR” looked great!!!!
