We are stuck in an airport.
We don’t know for how long.
We were loaded onto the plane and were waiting to push away from the gate…home was two hours away. Then the announcements was made, “We have a mechanical issue and we do not know how long it will take to fix. We are going to de-board the plane. Please take all of your items with you.”

My husband said, “Better than dying.”
I said, “I like safe planes.”
No one really complained.
Back in the airport things were a little more questionable. Connecting flights and other issues arose. The airline is keeping us posted.
The next flight out is being affected. The next flight arriving at this gate is being affected.

12:30 still in airport rebooking-
Insert small stress attack while organizing care for kids and horses 1300 miles away.

Our flight leaves in 28 hours. What to do with one more day? New hotel, new car rental….

3:15 pm- On the road again. Jesse driving and we headed back toward Denver with no real plan. Jesse mentioned he had never been to the Denver National Stock show. A quick google search shows that the Freestyle Reining starts at 4:00…..

3:45- Jesse just bought the last two tickets to the Freestyle Reining that starts in less than 15 minutes. Wow..it is like this was planned!

Jan 13- 5:15- We are back at the airport again. Ready to see the boys and ride Jac.
But first a ride on a nice SAFE airplane.

Gotta love the freestyle at the Denver Western Stock Show! I was there all day, and I saw Joan Brust compete at the mounted shooting earlier in the day! The same Joan that I met at your Colorado clinic! I took a picture of her to show you, but cannot get it on here with my phone app…..we have been friends ever since your clinic! My trainer got third at the freestyle…..I have been privileged to ride that horse several times…what a ride! Wish I could have seen you there….:)

I’m glad you got to go to the Denver National Western Stock Show. I have gone every year for most of my life, and it is a BIG part of life here in Denver! Hopefully you enjoyed the reining.
