“Is prayer your steering wheel or your spare tire?” Corrie ten Boom

“Is prayer your steering wheel or your spare tire?” Corrie ten Boom

I am tempted to just use this quote and walk away. It is so short and yet so full that it is amazing, everything a good quote should be.

One thing it did make me think was that it reflects your outlook on life. Are you a ‘glass half empty’ or a ‘glass half full’ kind of person. I think they might go together. It is hard for me to imagine a ‘glass half empty’ person using prayer as a steering wheel….because that takes a positive outlook.

What do you think?

What a life Corrie had. Read the book, saw the movie, and heard her speak in person. What a saint. Hiding Place really puts things into perspective. It magnifies the worst of humanity and the best of Christianity.

If tomorrow ,…you received everything you thanked god for today, what would you have ?

Trying to be more of a “glass is half full” kind of person. Reminding myself daily of what I am grateful for and what I have to be thankful for helps me in that thought process. : )

I love the quote. I am working on it being a steering wheel myself. I’m not always there, yet I’m glad for the spare tire. I just need to know it’s there.
