If they had a show titled ‘Horse-hoarders’ I think I would be nominated. Well, actually my barn is cleaner than lots of the houses on ‘Hoarders’ so maybe I am more accurately a horse addict.
Are you like that? I can’t get enough of them…and I mean that both ways! I want to be around them AND I want to own them all.
Here is an interesting tip if you think you may have too many horses. Think about it this way, if you didn’t own that horse standing out there in your pasture, would you go and buy him? If the answer is ‘yes’ then congratulation! If the answer is ‘no’ then why do you still have him?
Yes, this is a confession post because I just bought another horse.

Lol if I could live in my barn with my horses I would. The best three nights of my life were the nights I was sleeping outside my QH Casey’s stall waiting for her to foal. I got 8 beautiful horses & 2 mules out in the pasture & sadly the only one I would like to get rid of would be the paint, she just has a bad attitude & don’t like to be caught or rode. Otherwise she’s a very friendly horse. Haha true board is lots cheaper than rent, I wouldn’t mind at all sleepin in a stall
Nope, can’t get enough of the horses, but would auction most of their ‘owners’ off in a heart beat & for a penny. Drives me nuts to see so many with so much, yet clueless of their own lives, which reflects into their animal realms…UGH!
Personally, the ultimate home would be attached to the barn, and the main wall would be as stall doors so the horses could peek into my ‘stall’, too. How cool to sit in front of a fireplace, glass of wine, and beautiful company all around!:) Else, board is cheaper than rent these days, and most boarders get fed, too…just put my bed-ding in the corner!:)

I have a foal born April 14, 2011. Her name is Cherokee and she is a miniture. I would like to teach her tricks and right now I am working on leading her do you have any suggestions and any books or dvds you would like to suggest. I was trying to work with her leading yesterday an her and her mother were talking back and forth. I locked the mother up in the barn and was working with the foal. The last time I tried to walk the foal around the pasture we got to the top of the pasture and the mother horse charged me. The foal wasn’t whining just stopping occasionally and I would pet and encourage her.The pasture is about 1/2 acre.

Wow…yea…my family and i own and run a Quarter horse stud in Australia!!! We look outside and go wow look at all that horse power!!!
