However, this is where we are at (well, this was January anyway)….
So, today is my husbands birthday…think I can buy ‘him’ a mini to add to my team….

Training Question…..Stacy how did you get him used to the weight of the cart? I have a little 3 year old that I’m training….she does fine pulling a “drag” but gets really stressed about the weight of the cart when you put the shafts in the harness. Any ideas?
I took long PVC pipes and slipped them into the harness while someone else lead the mini. Many horses feel trapped in the shafts and using this technique helped them understand the feeling of being trapped. It didn’t add much weight but by the time I got to the cart they didn’t care. Hope this helps!
Training question…..I have been working with my 3 yr old mini for a couple of months now on driving, but she gets pretty stressed when I try to hook the cart up….not because of the cart….it’s the weight of the cart. I have used “drag” so she gets used to pulling but she gets really stressed about the weight once you set it in the harness. How did you accomplish this with your little guy? Thank you!
Aren’t theses little guys just a blast. I have really been getting into chuck wagon races with them and they arr all heart.

Hey, I have that same hat. and I have videos of me driving my mini while wearing it. I am 6 feet tall and usually people just laugh at how short my horses look next me. Great video and a super great mini.
