Dear Quarter Pony rider…

supermarket pony rideDear Quarter Pony rider,

In regards to your request, via electronic media, and I quote: “Can you help me tame this wild horse?” please take note of the following riding infractions:

1) you are not wearing a helmet

2) no heel on your boot, correction, no boot

3) unsafe riding surface-too much concussion on horse…and potentially rider

4) your balance seems to be off…Is that your purse over your shoulder? That could be the cause….

5) most riders struggle with ‘looking down’ too much but you seem to be an exception to this….please, look down a bit more! Because….Heaven help us all…….

YOU SEEM TO BE RIDING IN A PUBLIC AREA!!!!!  But if all else fails, have someone unplug your steed.

Wonderful advice. I have rode that type of horse many times in my younger years. And yes, I now wear boots and a helmet!!..And I do not carry my purse!!

    Very nice 🙂
On a only slightly tangential note, it reminds of something a friend said recently while we were rock climbing. She’s been struggling with intense fear about riding her horse since a bad fall and I asked her – don’t you think rock climbing is scarier? We are twenty times higher than when we’re on our horses? And she said, “No, I’m not too worried about my belay rope spooking and running away.” 🙂

Hey! That is how I learned to mount a horse! However I believe it was a 5c pony back then!

Stacy, thank you for bringing humor to my day!!! One more note to the Quarter Pony Rider: At 25 cents, this is the cheapest pony you will ever have the pleasure of riding!
