A word from Greg-click photo for Roxy’s WEG ride

Words cannot begin to describe how truly blessed I have been to have had the Westfall’s and Roxy in my life. I thank God for the phone call I got from Jesse telling me that Roxy was for sale and that he and Stacy thought she would be a good horse for me.

I was excited to think I would someday show her myself. Little did I know that God had a different plan for us and WHAT a plan it was!

Thanks to all of Roxy’s fans for your concerns and words of encouragement. It’s amazing how many lives one horse has touched! Thanks Jesse and Stacy, WHAT A RIDE ITS BEEN!!!

I have watched your ride with Roxy so many times, and shown it to others. In fact, my 6 brothers and sisters and I, having just lost our wonderful Mom this past January, watched it one evening during the week we were planning Mom’s funeral. Our Mom was a North Dakota ranch girl who LOVED a good horse and, even more, good cowgirls! Thank you to you and to Roxy for all the inspiration you have provided so many folks, within and outside of your reining world. RIP, Roxy! You were an amazing mare!

It amazes me still how that video was used, and is still being used, to touch people in their time of need.

    Stacy

The full story about the author and coming about of this poem is on your contact page. Im not sure if you got it so I thought this might be a more suited place to put it!

    Roxy, A true hero.
    Unbeknown to many,
    but a treasure to some,
    she held her head proud,
    and showed for the crowd.

    Unbeknown to many,
    but a treasure to some,
    she was my true star,
    I had but one.

    Roxy, our hero,
    you showed us the way,
    and lit up our hearts,
    Rest in peace, our superstar.

    Dear Stacey,

I was saddned when I heard the news about Roxy, but also felt tremendously blessed to have been able to follow her and her progress from another side of the world with your blogs and videos. You have done something with her, made something out of her, and that something no-one will ever forget. Thank you both so much for being such an insperation to all. Ever since I first watched Roxy and you do bareback and bridleless it changed my relationship with my horse, Jet, hugely.
    Roxy was truly a star.

I don’t know you, Stacy, or Jesse personally, but I was one of the fortunate to have seen Stacy ride Roxy bridleless and bareback. I will never reach the skill level that this requires (I am 58 yrs old!), but it inspires me to continue to work toward the kind of trust relationship with my Morgan mare that Stacy had reached with Roxy, that allowed this to happen. And if it weren’t for you…..Stacy would never have had that opportunity. God Bless You All, for inspiring so many with what you, Stacy, Jesse and Roxy gave to all of us!

I know the feeling I was blessed for a short while with Sally a HYPP horse that my vet recommended not to get but I am a anil person I don’t miss a beat. I love to ride and she was an incredible teacher if I was doing something wrong she would surely let me know. One of my friends asked to ride her in a weekend wsca show Sally won ever class both days halter showmanship english western patterns and trail and Cheryl had never even rode her before they were amazing.I found her down in her stall but couldn’t get her up I had her about 4 years never had a eposide.I stayed with her God blessed me with her presents.I still miss her. Roxy is rompping with Sally in horsey heaven. Thanks for the amazing gift.
